Fiker Think Tank Institute welcomes collaboration with government and non-governmental institutions, universities, research centres, local and international organisations, and funding bodies on work relevant to its areas of expertise.
Opportunities include research design and implementation, data collection and analysis, public opinion polling, programme monitoring and evaluation, training, policy research, and strategic and futures studies. The form of collaboration depends on the purpose of the work, the expertise required, and the responsibilities of the participating organisations.
Joint Research and Studies
Developing research questions relevant to institutional priorities and community needs, designing and implementing studies, analysing findings, and preparing research outputs. Collaboration may include methodological exchange, scientific review, and contributions to joint publications within an agreed scope.
Fieldwork and Analytical Collaboration
Delivering defined components of research projects, such as developing data collection instruments, training field teams, coordinating data collection and quality checks, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, and preparing reports. Clearly defined assignments align the Institute’s contribution with project requirements and the work undertaken by other organisations.
Programme Monitoring and Evaluation
Collaborating on monitoring frameworks, indicators and measurement tools, evaluation studies, and analysis of findings. Roles should be defined with attention to clear responsibilities, evaluation independence, and disclosure of any prior involvement that could affect objectivity.
Training and Professional Exchange
Developing training programmes and workshops in research, data collection and analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and report writing. Collaboration may include preparing training materials, delivering practical sessions, and convening professional discussions on relevant methods and experience.
Joint Project Proposals
Exploring opportunities to develop proposals for funded programmes and projects, with defined contributions to design, implementation, and monitoring. This includes discussing objectives, deliverables, work plans, and resource requirements in relation to the funding opportunity and its conditions.
Arrangements for Joint Work
Discussions begin by identifying the need the proposed work will address and its relevance to the participating organisations’ expertise. The scope, responsibilities, deliverables, timeframe, and financial arrangements are agreed alongside provisions for handling data, using project materials, and publishing findings, as appropriate to the assignment.
Discuss Collaboration with Us
Interested organisations can share a brief institutional profile, the proposed area of collaboration, its objectives, and the role envisaged for the Institute. A concept note, terms of reference, or information about a funding opportunity may be included where available.
